Basic conditions for storage of seamless steel pipes

Seamless steel pipes are widely used in the casting industry because of their unique characteristics and unique materials. So how should seamless steel pipes be stored?
Choose a suitable place and warehouse:
(1) The place or warehouse for storing construction steel should be clean and have smooth drainage, and should be free of factories and mines that produce harmful substances or dust. Weeds and all items should be removed from the ground to keep the construction steel clean;
(2) In the warehouse, materials that are corrosive to the materials, such as acid, alkali, salt, and concrete, should not be stacked together. Different types of construction steel can be stacked separately to avoid confusion and contact corrosion;
(3) Large steel, rails, thick steel plates, large diameter seamless pipes, steel castings, etc. can be stacked outdoors;
(4) Small and medium-sized steel, coils, construction steel bars, medium-sized seamless steel pipes, stainless steel wire and galvanized steel wire rope, etc. can be stored in a well-ventilated material shed, but they need to be covered with a blanket;
(5) Some small and medium-sized construction steel, cold-rolled steel plates, strip steel, ferrite cores, small-diameter or thin-walled steel pipes, various cold-rolled and cold-drawn construction steel and expensive and easily rusted metal products can be stored in the warehouse;
(6) The warehouse should be selected according to natural conditions. Generally, a general closed warehouse is used, which has both a roof and a wall, tight windows and doors, and is equipped with a ventilation device;

(7) The warehouse requires ventilation on sunny days, and the waterproofing should be turned off when it rains, and a suitable storage environment should be maintained at all times.

Therefore, according to the composition (usually carbon content), heat treatment method and purpose are different.
The seamless steel pipe has undergone corrosion-resistant treatment, which can greatly prevent the seamless steel pipe from rusting. Therefore, as long as the seamless steel pipe is selected in the right area during decoration, the corrosion of the seamless steel pipe can be greatly reduced.
