Introduction to the production process of spiral pipe

Spiral steel pipe production process is simple, high production efficiency, into the material to produce a larger diameter welded pipe, but also with the same width of the billet to produce a different diameter welded pipe. However, compared with the same length of straight seam pipe, the length of welded seam increases by 30~100%, and the production speed is lower.

Smaller diameter welded pipe is mostly used straight seam welding, large diameter welded pipe is mostly spiral welded pipe. Spiral steel pipe use: spiral welded pipe is mainly used in waterworks, petrochemical industry, chemical industry, electric power industry, agricultural irrigation, urban construction, is China's development of one of the twenty key products. For liquid transportation: water supply, drainage. For gas transportation: gas, steam, liquefied petroleum gas. For structural use: for piling pipe, for bridges; wharf, road, building structural pipe and so on.

The main production process is as follows: both internal and external welding adopt single-wire or double-wire submerged arc welding, so as to obtain a stable welding specification. Production workers adjust the process parameters at any time to eliminate defects in time. Air plasma cutting machine is used to cut the steel pipe into a single one.

After cutting into a single steel pipe, the first three steel pipes of each batch should be subject to a strict first inspection system to check the mechanical properties of the weld, chemical composition, dissolution status, surface quality of the steel pipe as well as after non-destructive testing to ensure that the pipe making process is qualified before it is formally put into production.

Welds on the continuous acoustic flaw marking parts, after manual ultrasonic and X-ray review, if there are defects, after repair, and again after non-destructive testing, until the defects are confirmed to have been eliminated.

The pipe where the strip butt-welded weld and the butyl joint intersecting with the spiral weld are located, all of them are examined by X-ray TV or film. Each steel pipe is hydrostatically tested with a radial seal pressure. The test pressure and time are strictly controlled by the microcomputer testing device for steel pipe hydrostatic pressure. Test parameters are automatically printed and recorded Pipe ends are mechanically processed so that end face perpendicularity, bevel angle and blunt edges are accurately controlled.
