Long-term storage method of welded pipes and preventive measures for cracking

In daily work and production, the welded pipes stored for a long time shall be inspected regularly. The exposed welded pipes shall be kept clean on the surface, removed from dirt, and stored neatly in a ventilated and dry place indoors. It is strictly prohibited to stack in the open or wet place. The welded pipes shall be kept dry, ventilated, clean and stored according to the correct storage method.

During installation, the welded pipe can be directly welded on the pipe according to the connection mode. It can be installed at any position of the pipe according to the use position, but it needs to be convenient to check the operation. Pay attention to the medium flow direction of the welded pipe and install it horizontally or vertically. Pay attention to the tightness of the welded pipe during installation to avoid leakage and affect the normal operation of the pipe.

Back to the processing of welded pipe, bending and stretching is a process of deep processing of welded pipe, and in this process, it is easy to produce weld cracking and cause a lot of waste products. In order to prevent the occurrence of similar problems, it is necessary to use appropriate lubricant, which has an obvious effect on the drawing and bending of welded pipe.  

Because the lubricant can form a film with certain toughness and elongation between the male and female dies, it is conducive to the drawing and bending of welded pipes. For the tensile parts of welded pipes with large drawing deformation and difficult bending forming, polyfluoroethylene film can be used as the lubricant in actual production. Polyfluoroethylene film has excellent tear strength, certain toughness and elongation, and is easy to clean.

After coating the dry film, the dry film can deform with the blank in the drawing process and always separate the blank from the die. In addition, the film itself has a certain porosity and a large number of fiber cracks, so it can also store a certain amount of lubricating oil, so the film is equivalent to a layer of dry film lubricant. This lubrication method can effectively isolate the deformed welded pipe from the die surface, with good lubrication effect, which is conducive to improving the service life of the die and the qualified rate of finished products.
